OFCCP Issues Final Regulations on Protected Veterans and Persons with Disabilities
About The OFCCP Institute
The OFCCP Institute was formed to assist the contractor community in responding to the rapidly changing compliance challenges. The Institute provides national training programs addressing the latest OFCCP developments and strategies for effective compliance.
Overview The two new final OFCCP regulations, addressing affirmative action and nondiscrimination obligations of contractors and subcontractors regarding protected (1) Veterans and (2) Individuals with Disabilities were available Tuesday, August 27, 2013, and are effective in 180 days after publication in the Federal Register - on or about February 23rd, 2014. The OFCCP Institute is conducting a comprehensive review of these new regulations.
To assist you, The OFCCP Institute will be providing a one day comprehensive training program on the new regulations. This program will take place in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, September 24th and will address the new regulations and provide federal contractors with guidance on their new compliance obligations.

The full day seminar will provide an in-depth look at the key changes of the new VEVRAA and Section 503 regulations promulgated by the OFCCP. We will focus on the implementing compliance in the federal contractor's workplace, particularly with respect to:
  • Invitation of applicants and employees to self-identify as disabled;
  • Invitation of applicants and employees to self-identify as a covered veteran;
  • Applying the Internet Applicant rule to the regulations;
  • Implementing the new 7% utilization goal for employment of qualified individuals with disabilities and understanding its affect in your current workforce;
  • Establishing hiring benchmarks for veterans and analyzing covered veterans data;
  • Developing compliant AAPs for individuals with disabilities and covered veterans; and
  • Other updated recordkeeping requirements.
This program is essential for corporate decision makers responsible for their companies' affirmative action plans, OFCCP audits, EEO compliance and compensation.
